Flea power release

Flea power drains the capacitors and residual static electricity that remains on the computer even after it has been powered off.
The following procedure list the steps to conduct a drain flea power release for the computer.
  • Turn off your computer.
  • Disconnect the power cable.
  • Remove the battery if possible.
  • Press and hold down the power button for 15 seconds to drain the flea power.
  • Connect the power cable.
  • Turn on your computer.
Please note that on laptops this is a common occurance, and is done on many or all brands of laptops and not specific to one brand.
It is however, not normal to have to drain flea power daily, weekly or monthly.
It is usally only on occassion that this needs to be done.

Excessive need to drain flea power to get your laptop powered on and booted, in our experience is an indicator that there is probably a motherboard issue and you may soon experience emminent failure.
We suggest making sure you have a current backup of your data and run a throurough diagnostics on your laptop and have a service call done if required.
